Each year, around 600 middle school students from across central North Carolina audition for a spot in the North Carolina Bandmasters Associations’ All-District Band. Three St. Timothy’s middle schoolers have been chosen to participate in this year’s All-District Band.
Eighth grader Sarah Lynn Rajaratnam will play the third seat clarinet. Sixth graders Gabby Rose and Miette Gillum are the 13th seat clarinet and the ninth seat trumpet in the second band, respectively.
The All-State Band auditions will be held on March 5 in Winston-Salem.
