We are processing applications on a rolling basis for grades with available spaces for the 24-25 school year. Please contact to enquire about availability for specific grades. Applications for the 25-26 school year are now open. The first round application deadline for the 25-26 school year is January 26, 2025.
Our admissions committee reviews all completed applications to determine an appropriate match between the student and St. Timothy’s School that is in keeping with our mission, vision, and values. All candidates are reviewed and assessed by considering the following factors:
- Developmental readiness, or level of academic achievement, of the candidate
- Evidence of the candidate’s potential to excel academically and benefit from the school’s programs
- Evaluation of the candidate’s interpersonal skills and their ability to adjust to the Titan community
- Evidence of parental cooperation and support
Application Process
The first step in our application process is to complete our online inquiry form.
You will then receive an email asking you to create an account for our admissions portal.
We invite you to join us to tour our beautiful campus. During our information session, you will meet with our senior leadership team and meet student and parent ambassadors. You will also have the opportunity to observe our students at work and at play as you tour our campus.
These events are aimed at parents but we encourage students applying to middle school to accompany their parents. We will provide other opportunities for younger students to explore our campus throughout the admissions process.

Please login to your Admissions Portal to begin the application process. There is a $100 non-refundable application fee. Once the fee is paid, the application will open up and ask you to complete the following steps:
- Household information
- Student Information
- Student Photograph
- Birth Certificate
- Family Information
Students applying for grades 1-8 are asked to upload their student’s most recent report card to the admissions portal.
For students applying for pre-k and kindergarten, we ask that parents enter a current preschool teacher’s email address into the admissions portal so that we can send them a student observation form to complete.
For students applying to grades 1-4, we ask that parents enter their current teacher’s email address into the admissions portal so that we can send them a recommendation form to complete.
For students applying to grades 5-8, we ask that parents enter their current math and English teachers’ email addresses into the admissions portal so that we can send them a recommendation form to complete.
In addition, we ask for any standardized test scores to be uploaded to the admissions portal.
Students applying to grades 1-8 are required to visit a classroom of their current grade level. Students applying to first grade will visit until 12:45 pm and all other students will spend the whole day with us. This gives them an opportunity to experience life as a Titan for themselves.
Visits can be scheduled through the admissions portal.
Pre-K & Kindergarten
Students applying to pre-k or kindergarten will be required to attend a one-hour small group assessment. This will include age-appropriate learning activities and an opportunity for free play with a small group of children. This assessment can be scheduled through the admissions portal.
Grades 1 & 2
Students applying to first and second grades will be asked to complete a short admissions assessment during their visit day. This assessment does not need to be separately scheduled.
Grades 3 & 4 ISEE Primary Test
Students applying to the third and fourth grades will be asked to take the ISEE Primary Level Test. This consists of a reading and mathematics assessment.
Parents should register through the ISEE website. There is an additional fee for the ISEE. Fee waivers are available. Please contact the admissions office for more information.
Grades 5-8
Students applying to the fifth to eighth grades will be asked to take the ISEE Lower or Middle-Level Test. This consists of verbal reasoning, quantitative reasoning, reading comprehension, mathematics achievement, and an essay assessment.
Parents should register through the ISEE website. There is an additional fee for the ISEE. Fee waivers are available. Please contact the admissions office for more information.

What to Expect After Submitting Application
Notification
St. Timothy’s is part of the Triangle Independent School Consortium (TISC). We adhere to the dates and deadlines set forth each year by this group. Please refer to the dates listed above.
The window of notification for Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten 25-26 applications is between February 14–21, 2025, with a commitment date of March 5, 2025.
For Grades 1-8, the window of notification for 25-26 applications is between February 28 and March 7, 2025, with a commitment date of March 19, 2025.
Applicants with current St. Timothy’s siblings already in attendance will receive an earlier notification in order to make a decision collectively.
