For the second year in a row, St. Timothy’s Church and School are joining forces in support of the Interfaith Food Shuttle’s Backpack Buddies program. Parishioners and school families are invited to run the 16th Annual North Hills 5K as part of the St. Timothy’s team. The race will take place on Saturday, September 10, at 9:00 a.m.
BackPack Buddies seeks to provide children from food-insecure families with healthy weekend meals during the school year. The children who qualify for the program receive a backpack of nonperishable foods to take home at the end of the school week. Approximately 3,000 children receive backpacks each week across the seven-county service area.
